We chatted with Anders Forslund to discuss the progress Hearrt has been making on its ES-30. The aircraft has transitioned from all-electric to hybrid-electric and grown from 19 seats to 30. The market for this aircraft is new again. It has been several years since a 30-seater regional plane was in service.
Its novel engine arrangement allows for substantially lower costs and might be the way to reopen markets where communities have lost air service. Some big airlines have placed orders, giving Heart a good start.
