It was a duopoly delivery blowout weekend.  The chart above this story shows industry deliveries for December over the past few years. Here’s a table with the associated data.

The key numbers are in the last column. We’re far off the 2023 number.  In the next two weeks, there have to be some miraculous days to match 2023.  It is encouraging that December 19th, 2025, is close to the high on December 30th, 2023.  Perhaps the industry can pull off a few more blockbuster days?

In 2025, both Airbus and Boeing faced significantly backloaded delivery schedules, with a disproportionate number of annual deliveries concentrated in the final weeks of the year. Persistent supply chain bottlenecks, engine shortages, and late-year quality inspections drove this.

Airbus

Here are a chart and a table showing what we saw over the weekend. According to our records, the period from January 2010 through today, December 19, 2025, is Airbus’s best delivery day ever.

December 19 saw 15 deliveries, a number last seen on December 30, 2022. In 2022, there were two high points: the 29th saw 12. The table below gives you the numbers that match the picture.

Airbus looks like it is pulling out all the stops to meet its revised target. This is an impressive display of effort at the FALs.

Boeing

Here’s the same chart and table for Boeing.

Boeing has fewer FALs than Airbus, so it’s no surprise the volume is lower. There’s also the FAA rate limit on top of that. Boeing saw its December 2025 high on the 17th so far. Here’s hoping they can beat that number before year-end.

The table highlights that Boeing’s peak delivery rate is 8.  Can they top this in the next two weeks? They came close on the 19th.
