Egyptair has gone shopping again on the second day of the Dubai Airshow. It announced an order for 10 Airbus A350-900s, a day after the airline secured long-term lease contracts for 18 Boeing MAX 8s
. This is all part of the airline’s strategy for the next decade, which should position Egypt and Egyptair for aggressive growth.

Egyptair’s long-haul fleet includes seven Airbus A330-200s and four -300s, as well as six Boeing 777-300ERs. But they are all well between 12.5 to almost 19 years old, so it is time to replace them with newer and more efficient aircraft.
