The US DOT published the April data yesterday, and we have updated our model accordingly.
Notes:
- The results aren’t great. Following the pandemic, on-time performance has not improved. As we have noted repeatedly, there are direct cost implications for late arrivals. These delays incur significant financial costs. Ultimately, the passenger ends up paying for schedules that are not met. And by that, we don’t mean lost passenger time.
- The arrival delay chart shows that delays are routine.
- The padding chart also shows consistent schedule padding. For more details on padding, refer to this model.
- Click 2025 on any of the charts, and it expands to show the months.
