Boeing HQ
Today’s key stories focus on another delay for the Boeing Starliner crewed test flight, a jury award in an intellectual property lawsuit, and an interesting comparison of two companies from Bill Blain. In other stories, Airbus warns that Boeing’s difficulties can negatively impact the entire industry and that, according to Emirates Tim Clark, Boeing will need years for its turnaround. Delta, who remain committed to the MAX 10, do not expect deliveries anytime soon, looking at 2027.
The victims of the two MAX crashes are urging the Department of Justice to prosecute Boeing after the determination that Boeing violated the deferred prosecution agreement, but it does no appear that Boeing executives will be charged. Bangladesh Biman has chosen Airbus over Boeing, as we discussed last week. Finally, the former leader of IAG indicated that the next Boeing CEO needs to understand the company’s past mistakes.
