The regional Mexican startup Aerus and Eviation Aircraft, a manufacturer of all-electric aircraft, announced they had signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for 30 commuter Alice aircraft. This is Mexico’s first airline to sign a deal for electric planes. 

Mexican regional startup Aerus is set to acquire 30 Alice aircraft. Aerus intends to employ Alice for middle-mile travel across regions, including the Mexican states of Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Coahuila, and Veracruz. With this, the airline will provide historically underserved communities in northern areas of the country with access to air travel while addressing the neutral carbon development of the industry.
