Dassault Aviation is celebrating its 100th anniversary.  The following video provides an interesting history of the company from World War I through today’s modern military and business jets.  From a modest start to today’s Rafale military jet, and the Dassault Falcon Jet line including the  2000, 2000LX, 900LX, 7X and forthcoming 8X and 5X models currently under development, the company is a major player in the aerospace industry with a strong product line and loyal customer base.
Congratulations Dassault!
I did not realize that Dassault and Boeing were born in the same year. They have actually collaborated on a number of projects. For example Boeing hired Dassault’s engineering department to design the basic concept for the X-32 and to upgrade the aerodynamic performance of the X-37. And like many other aerospace companies Boeing purchased, via IBM, the software suites developed by Dassault Systèmes to design and manufacture aircraft. Dassault’s engineers are widely recognized as la crème de la crème.
Great video and good to see that Comments are back.
