ATR, Indonesia’s national airline Garuda Indonesia and Danish leasing firm Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) announced an agreement for 35 new ATR 72-600 aircraft into the airline’s fleet. This deal involves NAC as lessor to Garuda, and includes for 25 firm orders and 10 options . The order, including the options, is valued at over $840 million. The aircraft will be configured with 70 seats, and feature the “Armonia” cabin.
Deliveries start in November 2013 – yes a month from now. NAC placed a record order for 90 ATR -600s at this year’s Paris Airshow, enabling the firm to ultimately have a fleet of 150 ATRs.
