Lessor Avolon has boosted its narrowbody backlog by announcing orders for a combined 140 aircraft. The company has signed a firm order for 100 Airbus A321neo’s and for 40 Boeing MAX 8s and -10s, it said on Tuesday. In June, Avolon already ordered 40 MAX.
The Airbus order takes the number of A321neo’s on order to 190. Actually, Airbus data shows that Avolon has 89 A321neo’s on order, of which four have been delivered. It also has 138 A320neo’s on order, of which 56 had been delivered by the end of October.
