The Iranian new airline, Tehran Air, will take off by the end of April 2016. With the purchase of four Airbus A340 aircraft that will be used for the long haul and seven A321 for short and medium distances.
According to Mohammad-Ali Ilkhans, CEO of Air Tehran, the airline’s fleet will be “younger than 15 years.” Ilkhans went on to say – that “Iran is coveted by international companies as the biggest potential aviation market in the Middle East and the country desperately needs new jet after it has been for decades hampered by the sanctions it to renew its fleet”.
The officials said Iran would need between 400 to 500 new aircraft worth at least $ 60billion in the next decade.
