Our video conversation series keeps finding support for the theme that the recovery in air travel will start at the bottom.  Regional flying is likely where it starts.

In South Africa, Miles van der Molen’s privately owned airline has to deal with COVID impacts like all the others.  But add to that operating in a market where the state-owned airline is in collapse, and CemAir is running repatriation flights across Africa from some of the most remote places.  And he and his team have to do this under a hard lockdown from their homes.  It’s a tough gig.

Co-Founder AirInsight. My previous like includes stints at Shell South Africa, CIC Research, and PA Consulting. Got bitten by the aviation bug and ended up an Avgeek. Then the data bug got me, making me a curious Avgeek seeking data-driven logic. Also, I appreciate conversations with smart people from whom I learn so much. Summary: I am very fortunate to work with and converse with great people.
