Azul begins 2022 with profitability

The Brazilian carrier Azul Linhas Aéreas released its 2022 first-quarter results, and we can say Azul began the year with profitability, posting a net income of 2.65 billion reais (around US$518 million). Moreover, the airline expects to achieve an all-time operating revenue and RASK in the second quarter of 2022. 

Azul begins 2022 with profitability. The airline had total operating revenue worth 3.2 billion reais (around US$623 million), an increase of 74.9% compared to last year and 25.6% compared to 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
