Notes:

  • The first five months’ deals point to lower volumes than last year, perhaps fewer than 2,000 deals. That would be ~10% less.

New Deliveries
Here is our estimate for May 2024 new deliveries, as opposed to transactions that include military and previously owned aircraft.  Our numbers are estimates based on daily deliveries; the OEMs likely will report their numbers next week.

  • Boeing’s delivery situation is dire—how else can one put it? Pricing and budgets were built around higher production rates than we are seeing.
  • This is not good for the duopoly at all.  It is also not good for the commercial aviation silo. Feedback from IATA’s AGM speaks for itself.
