Mike Mecham has been a fixture on the aerospace media circuit in the United States for decades.  Mike is about to retire from Aviation Week and spent a few minutes talking with us on the sidelines after the 2013 pre-Paris Air Show briefings at Boeing to talk about how the industry looks from his point of view. Have a great retirement Mike, your colleagues are going to miss you.

I am one of Mike’s former Aviation Week colleagues, long based in Paris. Mike was a great writer to work with, a really nice guy, a respected byline. We will miss him.
