Qatar Airways has reported a QAR 3.736 billion ($1.026 billion) net profit for the first six months of financial year 2023/2024, which runs from March to September. With almost all of the grounded Airbus A350s back in service with a fresh paint job, Qatar Airways was able to grow capacity or available seat kilometers and carried 19.1 million passengers, up 22.5 percent.
The net profit is up 113.8 percent year on year, although the airline hasn’t shared full details of its previous financial year 2022/2023. Revenues were up by 7.4 percent to QAR 40.126 billion. Passenger revenues were up 28.5 percent, load factors improved to 83.3 percent.
