Air India announced the launch of a 600.000 square foot integrated aviation training academy. The facility on Delhi’s outskirts will become operational this month and will be the largest in South Asia. The grouping of South Asia includes Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Maldives, apart from India.
Commenting on the training academy, Campbell Wilson, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the airline said the academy was a major step forward in making the Indian aviation industry more self-reliant and building the aviation infrastructure India needs as one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets.
