US leisure carrier Allegiant has secured options for another thirty Boeing MAX aircraft, bringing its total firm order and purchase rights to 130 aircraft. But the airline has amended the original order and now intends to take more MAX 8200s and fewer MAX 7s, it said on October 3.
Allegiant placed an order for thirty MAX 7s and twenty MAX 8200s in December 2021 for delivery between 2023 and 2025, plus fifty purchase rights. In a stock exchange filing, the airline said on Tuesday:
