This week was another tough one for Boeing. Its CEO was under the spotlight, and it was unpleasant. Boeing’s CEO admitted the company culture is “far from perfect.”  The Boeing corporate culture is, potentially, at the core of the company’s challenges.  Can one change this culture?

We spoke with Julia Reidel, a leadership expert with a substantial history in aerospace. Julia explains how big an issue cultural change is and describes her experiences with corporate culture changes. Boeing’s culture is powerful; the company is over a century old and an iconic global brand.

Preserving the company is important to its stakeholders, especially the thousands of employees.  Bringing change is a very tough job, which is probably why finding a replacement CEO is proving tough. We have been writing about Boeing’s culture for years.
