At ISTAT one gets to meet many very interesting people.  Certainly among those is Bombardier’s Chet Fuller. The program is entering a crucial phase now as all the key parts come together.  First flight is still planned for the year end. Its “game changer” engine is coming is at spec. Mr Fuller is comfortable the program is doing fine – though as always on a new airplane, there will be some “unknown unknowns” right up to the end. The combination of the GTF and the clean sheet design remain disruptive. Many industry observers at ISTAT are eager to see this airplane.
