Falcon 8X
Dassault Falcon 8X Takes on Star Wars Canyon. Every now and then, an OEM will do something extreme with an aircraft to demonstrate its unique capabilities. Dassault, who also manufactures military aircraft, is quite familiar with high-performance demonstrations. This one has the Falcon 8X business jet taking on Star Wars canyon in the western US and is interesting to view.  This area is normally closed to non-military operations, and it is unusual to see a business jet like the Dassault Falcon 8X take on the extreme flight challenges the canyon provides.
Star Wars Canyon, actually named Rainbow Canyon, is located near the western edge of Death Valley Nation Park in California. Â The canyon is commonly used by both the US Air Force and Navy for low-level flight training. Â Pilots fly as low as 200 feet above the ground to maneuver around the canyon at high speeds, often below the level of photographers watching the action below. Â The canyon has also been nicknamed the Jedi Transition once pilots successfully navigate the course and become “one with their airplanes.”
