Friday, November 17, Embraer hosted a media day for the US trade press. It was a small group, with the OEM's leadership team - from Commercial to eVTOL. Several of Embraer's team flew to NYC from the Dubai Airshow. Here is a series of recent articles we published on Embraer. As the following three videos will demonstrate, Embraer feels more confident than it has for several years. The financial results presented on Friday had been shared with the Wall Street analysts the day before. The only item the media did not get compared to the previous day was three on-site customers to share their experience with the E2. These events are typically upbeat and designed to send a message of confidence. So we expect that. But this event had a sense of more profound confidence. The numbers speak for themselves and, since Embraer is a listed company, can't be fudged. Consider that Embraer operates in a unique set of silos, from eVTOL to defense. This allows the firm to cross-pollinate technologies over a wide range of deliverables. It also has a remarkable track record, as Michael Amalfitano explains best in video #3. We think this is a crucial factor. Another item that separates Embraer from its competitors in its E2 program is that only 60% of the external supply chain is impacted. That means 40% of the aircraft is made from internally supplied parts. Can Airbus or Boeing say this for their bread-and-butter single-aisles? The E2, we suggest, is less risky as a result. As is our modus, we record these videos so subscribers can draw their own conclusions.
