In one of our regular monthly chats with Indian aviation law firm, Sarin & Co. we review a potential Air India widebody order, discuss interest in the A321neo (in light of some coming up from Alaska), and then we got into a deep discussion about India and Russia.  These two countries have a long history. It is complicated and the conversation helps explain why India has been careful about criticizing Russia.  In the West, we don’t have this perspective and it clouds our response to India’s position. Perspective is really important.

Co-Founder AirInsight. My previous life includes stints at Shell South Africa, CIC Research, and PA Consulting. Got bitten by the aviation bug and ended up an Avgeek. Then the data bug got me, making me a curious Avgeek seeking data-driven logic. Also, I appreciate conversations with smart people from whom I learn so much. Summary: I am very fortunate to work with and converse with great people.
