CFM International and Pratt & Whitney both won engine deals worth a total of $7.9bn at the recent Singapore Air Show.
CFM won a $4.9bn order from Transportation Partners, which is the leasing subsidiary of the Lion Group. The deal is to supply 348 engines. The Lion Group owns Lion Air, an LCC that is the biggest airline in Indonesia.These engines will power 174 Airbus A320neos.
Pratt & Whitney won a $3bn order from VietJet Aviation JSC. This Vietnamese airline selected the competing GTF for its 126 engines for 63 A320neo and A321neos.
