Chile’s Sky Airline Looks To Enter The US Market

The Chilean ultra-low-cost carrier Sky Airline has filed a request to the Department of Transportation (DOT) to operate non-stop flights from Chile to the United States.

Entering the US market

Sky Airline intends to initially serve the US market on flights to and from the United States operated by Sky’s controlled affiliate, Sky Airline Peru. But in the future, the Chilean branch of the company also intends to operate from Chile “upon its receipt of aircraft with the range necessary to do so on a nonstop basis.”
