Care to share?

There is a compelling competition going on in the widebody market.  The Airbus A330-900neo, which recently won EASA certification, competes head to head with the Boeing 787-9.  With nearly identical seating capacities, these aircraft are at the heart of the wide-body market.

The following chart illustrates a history of orders for these two competing programs along with the A330-300ceo. We start the chart in 2004, as that is when the first 787 orders were placed. The A330ceo has been in service from 1993 while the A330neo is about to enter service. The chart includes all 787 models and all the passenger A330 models.
