When we published a table that showed Delta’s A220 was struggling over 2019 there was quite a reaction.  The DoT just released the January data and there has been a sharp improvement with Delta’s A220s.  The following table shows the improvement.

January shows the A220 on-time arrival performance is much improved – no red! January saw the growing A220 fleet complete 3,035 flights.

Like all airlines reported by the DoT, as the day reaches late afternoon, schedules start to fall apart.  This is especially the case with aircraft that do several small hops. For example, the Delta A321 and 737-900 fleet are “all in the green”.
