Boeing’s numbers are in and here is our take on the data.

Single Aisle  -business has definitely slowed down, but much less so for Boeing than Airbus.  The 737-800 and MAX programs saw good order levels.  In terms of deliveries, Boeing has also delivered more than Airbus.  Airbus delivered 81 A320s while Boeing managed 102 737-800s.

Twin Aisle – Whereas Airbus negative net orders, Boeing eeked out orders.  It is only one quarter, but there is definitely a slowdown in orders.   Airbus has frequently pointed out that they manage their deliveries in such way as to ensure the greatest stability.  This quarter Airbus did very well with A350s.  For Boeing, it was strong deliveries for 787-9 and 777-300ERs.  In this segment Boeing also out-delivered Airbus.
