DAE completes placement of 12 MAX with Aeromexico

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) announced on January 19 that it has successfully completed the placement of 14 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, including 12 with Mexican carrier Grupo Aeromexico. Last year, Aeromexico modified its original order with Boeing for B737 MAX units as part of its Chapter 11 proceedings in the United States. As a recap: Aeromexico had an original order for 60 B737 MAX -8s and -9s. When the pandemic started in 2020, Aeromexico had only received six MAX units and had unfilled orders for 54 aircraft.
