We spoke with Brian J. Terwilliger about his movie.

We don’t often review films at AirInsight, but once a film of interest to the aviation community arrives that is worth reviewing.  That film is Living in the Age of Airplanes, produced and directed by noted documentarian Brian J. Terwilliger.  This film, currently being shown at large-format IMAX theaters, will be released later this month (circa Oct. 25th) on Blue Ray, DVD and iTunes.  This 47 minute film took six years to complete, and has spectacular footage from around the globe.

The movie was filmed in 18 countries on all 7 continents, and is narrated by our fellow aviator and enthusiast Harrison Ford.  It also features an original soundtrack from Oscar willing composer James Horner, who also scored Titanic and Avatar.  For aviation enthusiasts, this is a must see, putting into perspective how far we’ve come in the last century and the impact aviation has on all of our lives.
