MHIrj Aero Advisory Services, a division within the MHIrj group and part of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has produced its first Market Forecast in time for Farnborough Airshow.  The team behind this effort is the former Bombardier Commercial Aircraft marketing team.  That means the deliverable comes from people with rich industry experience.

Their approach (a detailed bottom-up model) allows for a long forecast period – out to 2050.  The methodology also ensures they could look at new markets including the emerging eVTOL space.   A non-OEM forecast source can be expected to differ from those of OEMs.

We spoke with Antoine Chereau, Director at MHIrj Aero Advisory Services to get an appreciation of how the forecast was developed and what the forecast predicts.
