Our model is updated. Orders - gross orders 59, including 15 A321neo for an undisclosed customer, plus seven A330-900 for Virgin Atlantic, 11 A321neo and 20 A350-900, 6 A320neo and cancellations for two A350-1000s for Virgin Atlantic. Orders YTD: 367 Deliveries - 77, including one A220-100, six A220-300, three A319neo, 24 A320neo, 32 A321neo, five A330-900, six A350-900, and one A350-1000. Deliveries YTD 400. Guidance is still 770, but Airbus hopes to get closer to 800. The model shows deliveries for A321 continue to outpace A320 by a growing margin. In terms of orders, the gap is even more significant. (see page 7) Page three shows the orders have softened YTD while deliveries seem to struggle because of well-published supply chain issues. CFM has now also been fingered as an issue. Interestingly, Wizz Air eclipsed Delta as the largest YTD delivery customer. With all in-production models sitting on backlogs, Airbus cannot deliver any faster and benefit from Boeing's slower rates. The supply chain blockage is the reason. (see page 11) A needed FAL in India would not be of any help either.
