CFM International is introducing new high-pressure turbine (HPT) blades on two versions of the trusted CFM56 to enhance durability. While the engine already has a solid track record, the OEM has developed HPT blades to improve this even more.

The new blades have increased wall thickness, optimized dovetail loading, and tightened manufacturing tolerances. They will be available on the CFM56-5B version that powers the Airbus A320ceo family and the -7B that is on the Boeing 737NG family.
