The poet Rudyard Kipling is famous for the poem IfIt starts with powerful imagery – “If you can keep your head when all about you  Are losing theirs and blaming it on you…”

We are in the midst of trying times for commercial aerospace.  Literally the only people whose jobs are safe are those employed by the government. It has always been so – the swings in the market are not for the faint of heart.

The message aerospace industry leaders need to share now, indeed project, is steadfastness.  Everyone agrees this is a time no one has known – a global pandemic and economic meltdown coming to pass in weeks.

Todd Young is the COO at De Havilland Canada and shares his views on how they are dealing with these times and how they keep moving forward. He mentions a great statistic – about 50% of the Dash8 fleet is still flying.
